We are seeking a Logistics Supervisor, the role helps to ensure the smooth running of the depot and is involved in delivery and warehousing of the site. So we are looking for someone with drive and ability whilst learning our business and operation.

You’ll need in depth knowledge of final mile delivery and warehouse picking operations with at least 2 years’ + experience in a Supervisory role. Able to pick up WMS systems and routing systems, with excellent Excel and Microsoft key package knowledge.
You’ll be a confident communicator , hot on health and safety and take pride in ensuring that the depot under your supervision and all the staff and drivers are achieving our key performance indicators. Managing staff, dealing with enquiries and planning and organising are key activities to ensure that no two days are the same and we seek to improve wherever we can.

Role description:
This will be an operational hands-on role. Experience in a similar role in the healthcare home deliveries sector would be ideal - exceptional people management and communication skills are essential.
Must have Forklift Counterbalance license
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate on-site teams delivering outstanding customer care.
- Oversee dispatch , route planning and depot operations
- Inspire operational teams to prioritise safety in all activities.
- Ensure teams receive adequate training to meet competency and high levels of compliance standards.
- Handle holiday absence and staff reporting
- Promote a culture of "right first time" keeping customer complaints to a minimum.
- Proactively manage activities to minimise disruptions and preventable mistakes.
- Conduct regular safety audits to identify hazards and implement necessary controls.
- Depot cleanliness
- Ensure that the staff, contractor and visitors adhere to Health & Safety regulations and that drivers to adhere to driving standards policies and the highway code.
What you’ll need:
· In-depth Knowledge of transport and warehouse operations with at least 2 years’ experience
· PC literate in WMS, Trafficking system, Word & Excel
