About the Role
ScotForce Healthcare are looking for committed and reliable people to join one of our core teams, dedicated to servicing one of our key Supported Living contracts.
Our Support Workers help Children and Young People with complex needs, positive behavioural support and sometimes adults with disabilities or other support needs to live independently in supported accommodation, shared tenancies or their own homes.
Many of our client contracts have multiples services within a local area, so you may be required to work at different locations – or you could be allocated to a single service. This depends on your exact location and the client contract we believe you are best suited to, upon application.
These positions do not suit individuals seeking casual work or occasional shifts. Our roles offer flexibility, however, it needs to be balanced to support the team and deliver consistent care. It’s a team game, and the scheduling staff will do their best to accommodate individual needs – as will other colleagues within your group - however, as a benchmark, you should be seeking at least 3 shifts per week, and be able to offer at least 5 days of availability across the full week.
All shifts are between 6 hours and 12 hours long, the majority of which are day-shifts. Some service users may require waking nights or sleepover support, however, only select staff who are willing and able to complete waking nights or sleepers will be allocated to these. Our team will discuss your own shift preferences with you upon application.
Why Join ScotForce Healthcare?
- Part of a Team – Become part of one of our dedicated service teams, working regularly with the same team and services, helping to build stability, trust and high quality support.
- Flexibility with Structure – You choose your availability, but it should include a reasonable mix of shifts and enough days each week to secure regular work, ensure continuity for the client service, and regular contribution to your team.
- Great Pay & Benefits – Earn up to £15.97 per hour (including holiday pay), plus bank holiday enhancements and referral bonuses up to £500.
- Recognition & Rewards – Be valued for more than just the hours you work. From quarterly awards and anniversary gifts to referral bonuses, we celebrate the people who make ScotForce what it is.
- Training & Development – Accredited in-house trainers, external providers, and online modules to support your professional growth.
- 24/7 Support Team – Always on hand to listen, to help, and ensure you get real job satisfaction.
- Career Opportunities – Access to progression pathways with our client partners.
- Other benefits – eligibility for the Blue Light Card, Concert for Carers and Discounts for Carers.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for people who want a rewarding role in a committed team - with flexibility that works for everyone - delivering consistent, high-quality support within one of our key supported living contracts. The people who succeed with us share these qualities:
- Reliable & Committed Team Players – You turn up when you say you will and contribute to the wider team.
- Available – You can offer at least 4 days of availability each week and seek a minimum of 3 shifts. Our core staff typically work between 3 and 6 shifts per week, depending on their preferences - giving the opportunity of consistent part-time or full-time work.
- Flexible & Adaptable – You value the balance this role offers: real flexibility and freedom in choosing when and how much you work, paired with a willingness to adapt to client needs and to work in cooperation with your colleagues too. Flexibility works both ways - and those who embrace that balance thrive with ScotForce.
- Communicative – You keep us informed, respond promptly, and give clear feedback on the services you work in.
- Positive & Professional – You bring a great attitude, take pride in your work, and are valued by clients and colleagues alike.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months’ recent, paid experience in the UK as a Care Assistant or Support Worker.
- Driving licence and access to a vehicle essential.
- Willingness to Travel – Our clients have multiple services requiring support. Depending on your own location, it is realistic to expect to travel up to 25 miles. Of course, many locations are closer and we’ll discuss with you what is realistic, based on your location, upon application.
- PVG Scheme membership and SSSC registration (or willingness to obtain).
- A caring, professional approach and genuine passion for supporting vulnerable adults.
