The Role
As Assistant Manager, you'll work with the management team and kitchen brigade to help deliver exceptional guest experiences whilst creating a positive, engaging environment for the team.
No two days are the same, and you'll be at the heart of everything that makes The Rutland & Derby special.
You will be responsible for:
- Leading shifts from the floor, ensuring every guest receives a warm welcome and outstanding service.
- Supporting, coaching and developing the front of house team to build confidence and deliver consistently high standards.
- Creating an energetic and positive atmosphere that both guests and team members want to be part of.
- Supporting with recruitment, inductions and ongoing team development.
- Assisting with shift planning, stock control, cash handling and day to day operations.
- Maintaining exceptional standards across every area of the pub.
- Handling guest feedback confidently and turning great service into loyal, returning customers.
- Leading by example with enthusiasm, professionalism and a hands on approach.
About You
We are looking for someone with personality just as much as experience.
You will ideally:
- Have experience as an Assistant Manager, Supervisor or Duty Manager within hospitality.
- Be passionate about delivering incredible guest experiences.
- Love working with people and naturally bring energy to every shift.
- Be proactive, organised and able to think on your feet.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy the excitement that comes with a busy service.
- Have high standards and take pride in doing the little things brilliantly.
- Be a natural motivator who enjoys coaching others and celebrating team success.
- Want to build a long-term career within hospitality and continue developing your leadership skills.
