As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you’ll be in charge of coordinating and supervising the daily housekeeping services to ensure everything runs smoothly and meets the clients needs. It’s a role that requires strong organizational and leadership skills!
As part of your role, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for the overall coordination, supervision & assessment of the day-to-day provision of Housekeeping Services, including work allocation and making routine & non routine adjustments as necessary to ensure safe, high quality and efficient housekeeping cover is provided in all areas of the site that meets the ongoing changing needs.
- To manage the housekeeping service and staffing at weekends, bank holidays and evenings when the Facilities Managers are not available.
- To allocate all housekeeping duties, monitor & asses standards ensuring that activity/response is prioritised to meet clinical needs.
- To plan and prioritise work schedules for all housekeeping staff and to implement changes as required meeting the operational needs of the Trust on a daily basis. Identify minimum /maximum levels of staff to meet service requirements to ensure that the service supports clinical activity. Identify overtime needs when required.
- Communicate day to day operational issues which maybe complex to Facilities Manager. Using sound judgements generate and maintain rosters for approval by the Facilities Manager that meet service requirements.
The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:
- Must have Right to Work in the UK.
- An enhanced DBS will be completed for the successful candidate.
- NVQ in Cleaning or equivalent experience.
- Educated to level 2 or equivalent level of education, including English, Numeracy and IT.
- Previous experience of working/supervising in a cleaning environment.
- Knowledge of National Standards of Cleanliness and understanding of COSHH and Health and Safety procedures.
