Duties
- Support residents or clients with daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility to promote dignity and independence
- Assist in developing and implementing personalized care plans tailored to each individual’s needs and preferences
- Maintain accurate records of care provided, observations, and any changes in condition using IT systems
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care delivery
- Drive between different care locations or client homes as needed to provide consistent support
- Ensure a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols and reporting any concerns promptly
- Support the emotional well-being of clients through empathetic listening and engaging activities
Skills
- Strong driving skills with a valid license for transportation between care settings or client homes
- Experience working in a care home or home care environment is highly desirable
- Ability to understand and follow detailed care plans to meet individual needs effectively
- Proficiency in using IT systems for documentation and communication purposes
- Excellent communication skills in English to interact clearly with clients, families, and team members
- Good physical fitness to assist with mobility support and personal care tasks
- Effective interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with clients and colleagues
