Job Summary
Fearnhead Cross Medical Centre is a large, busy practice based in Warrington, Cheshire with easy access for motorways to the surrounding areas. The practice has a branch surgery located nearby, a list size of approx. 13000 patients and uses EMIS Web. The practice has a very supportive team made up of GP Partner's, Salaried GP’s, Clinical Pharmacists, Advanced nurse practitioners, Practice Nurses, HCAs, Clinical support, Admin & Reception staff. The Practice is a training and research practice.
We are seeking a Salaried GP to join our friendly team on a fixed term contract until 31st March 2027. The pay is to be discussed at interview and may be negotiable depending on experience.
The position is for 4 sessions per week 2 sessions on a Monday and 2 sessions on a Friday. Each session is 4 hours 10 mins, standard working day as per BMA contract and includes a mixture of appointments including triage, face to face and telephone consultations with associated admin GP tasks/queries workflow medicine management and home visits. A salaried GP is also expected to take part in other work such as audits, QOF, attend practice meetings and keep up to date with practice protocols and policies as well as mandatory training and personal skills. The above list is not exhaustive. The position would include “On Call duty” on a pro-rata basis.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a wide range of presenting health needs in a primary care setting
- Deliver high quality patient care in accordance with guidelines
- Maintain accurate clinical records
- Deliver patient consultations (Face-to-face, telephone, home visit)
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Accurately complete a share of workflow tasks
- Participate in on call duties.
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality
