Security Officer – Cross Hands, Carmarthenshire

An excellent opportunity has become available for a Part-Time Security Officer to join our team at our client’s site in Cross Hands, Carmarthenshire, with the possibility of progressing into a full-time position.
Working Hours
- Days: 05:30 – 17:30
- Nights: 17:30 – 05:30
- 12-hour shifts
IMPORTANT: You must hold a valid, in-date SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guard Licence. Applications without a valid SIA licence will not be considered.
The Successful Candidate Must Have
- A valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guard Licence
- A full 5-year checkable employment and/or education history
- Good computer skills and confidence using basic computer systems, email and electronic reporting systems
- A good command of the English language
- A professional, reliable and presentable manner
- Essential Driving Requirement

Due to the location of the site and the shift times of 05:30–17:30 and 17:30–05:30, public transport may not be suitable. You must be able to reliably travel to and from the site for every scheduled shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and secure environment at all times
- Control access to and from the site
- Professionally and politely prevent unauthorised persons from gaining access
- Escort unauthorised persons from the premises where required
- Provide support during emergencies and evacuations
- Monitor and record temperature readings from storage trailers on site
- Use computer-based systems to complete security records, reports and site documentation
- Complete all required security duties to a professional standard
