Linac NDT Services is an Inspection company based in Wombwell near Barnsley. We are the largest Independent Radiography company in the UK. Due to continued growth, we require a Trainee Industrial Radiographer to work alongside our current experienced team of Radiographers.
Key Areas of Responsibility
· Assist qualified Radiographers in day-to-day testing of components using Gamma, X-Ray & High Energy X-ray (Linear Accelerator)
· Preparing Components for Inspection.
· Light & Dark Room Duties.
· General Housekeeping.
Knowledge, Experience & Key Skills:
- Previous experience of Radiographic examination. (not essential as training will be provided)
- Good communication skills.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills are a must.
- Experience using both overhead Cranes & Fork trucks would be an advantage.
- Ability to work using own initiative, as well as within a team.
- Methodical & able to follow instruction.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate shall be willing to undertake further training to the companies written practice (SNT-TC-1A).
The Package
This is a permanent role, working 36 hours per week.
The hours of work are:
Monday to Thursday - 14:00 - 22:00
Friday - 12:00 - 18:00
