General Assistant (Kitchen / Domestic Duties)
£12.71 per hour.
Around 26 hours per week, 8am-1.30pm, 5 days Mon-Sun
Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate General Assistant to join our team at Avila Nursing Home, Bessbrook. This vital role involves supporting the daily operations of the facility, working within the kitchen / domestic departments. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, excellent communication skills, and a proactive attitude to enhance the well-being of residents and support staff.
Duties
- Help with housekeeping tasks to ensure a tidy and welcoming environment
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to promote positive relationships
- Support staff with meal preparation, serving
- Maintaining cleanliness in communal areas
Skills
- Experience working in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
- Strong communication skills in English to interact effectively with residents and colleagues
- Ability to work as part of a team while demonstrating initiative and reliability
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a caring attitude towards vulnerable individuals
