We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Cook to join our busy football club kitchen. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a friendly team, preparing and serving quick quality food to supporters, players, officials and visitors on both matchdays and throughout the week.
The role offers approximately 30 hours per week, with additional hours available during special events and functions held at the club. Weekend working is essential due to our busy matchday schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of match day food as well as players food.
- Ensure food is presented to a consistently high standard.
- Maintain excellent food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness in line with current Food Safety regulations.
- Assist with stock control, ordering and rotation of ingredients.
- Work efficiently during busy matchdays and peak service periods.
- Support the planning and preparation of menus for matchdays, hospitality and club events.
- Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Work collaboratively with other kitchen and front-of-house staff to provide excellent customer service.
- Assist with catering for occasional evening functions, private events and club celebrations.
About You
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous experience working in a busy kitchen environment.
- Be able to remain calm and organised under pressure.
- Have a passion for preparing quality food.
- Hold a Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 preferred)
- Have excellent time management and communication skills.
- Be flexible and willing to work evenings, weekends and occasional additional hours for events.
- Be a positive team player with a strong work ethic.
