The Job:
Spiral UK carry out the design, manufacture and installation of bespoke staircases throughout the UK. We are looking for a skilled and reliable staircase fitter to join our team. You will be responsible for installing architectural metalwork, staircase installation, balustrades and handrails.
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will either be an experienced or trained fitter who is focused and able to work with own initiative under minimal supervision as part of a two-man team. It is important that you have a professional manner and good communication skills.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced steelwork installer who is comfortable working away from home and have a strong background in site-based fabrication and installation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install staircases, balustrades and associated components to a high standard
- Read and interpret technical drawings and site plan
- Carry out on-site measurements and adjustments where required
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations
- Conduct checks and resolve installation issues efficiently
Key skills & Experience
- Have a good eye for detail and quality.
- Be able to read and understand construction drawings.
- Have a valid UK Driving license – a company van is provided to each team.
- Able to travel to various sites throughout the UK, accommodation and travel paid
- Proven experience in staircase fitting or similar structural steel installation
- Blue CSCS card
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work as a team.
- Ability to TIG / MIG weld
