Studio 48 is looking for a reliable and motivated part time Chef to join our team.
This role would suit someone who is still relatively early in their chef career but already has some experience working in a professional kitchen.
Our kitchen is small and our menu is deliberately straightforward. We are not looking for a highly experienced senior chef or someone coming from a complicated fine-dining background.
We want someone who can cook consistently, work cleanly, follow specifications and take pride in the food they serve.
The role
Preparing and cooking dishes from the Studio 48 menu
Following recipes, portion sizes and presentation standards
Completing food preparation before service
Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and service-ready
Following food hygiene and food safety procedures
Completing temperature checks and kitchen records
Receiving and correctly storing deliveries
Monitoring stock levels
Helping reduce unnecessary food waste
Cleaning kitchen equipment and work areas
Working closely with management and the front-of-house team
Maintaining consistent food quality during service
What we are looking for
Some previous experience working in a professional kitchen
Basic cooking and food preparation skills
Good hygiene and cleanliness standards
A reliable and punctual approach to work
The ability to stay organised during busy periods
A willingness to learn and improve
The ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
A positive attitude towards working as part of a small team
A Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate is preferred, although training can be provided where appropriate.
About the kitchen
Studio 48 operates a relatively small kitchen with a simple menu.
This is a hands-on position and would be ideal for a junior chef, kitchen assistant looking to progress, or someone with previous chef experience who wants to take on more responsibility without working in a large kitchen operation.
