Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Hair Stylist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a flair for creativity and a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Hair Stylist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality hair services, including cutting, colouring, and styling, while ensuring that each client leaves feeling confident and satisfied.
Duties
- Provide a range of hair services, including cutting, colouring, and styling to meet clients' needs.
- Perform additional beauty services such as makeup application and eyelash extensions as required.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Engage with clients to understand their preferences and provide expert advice on hair care and styling.
- Upsell products and services to enhance the client experience and promote salon offerings.
- Assist with front desk duties, including scheduling appointments and managing client records.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive salon environment.
- Mentor junior stylists or apprentices, sharing knowledge and techniques to foster their development.
Skills
- Proficient in barbering techniques with a strong understanding of various hair types.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Experience in front desk operations within a salon environment is advantageous.
- Knowledge of makeup application techniques is desirable.
- Familiarity with eyelash extension application is a plus.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a busy salon setting.
- Experience in store management or team leadership is beneficial.
- Ability to upsell products confidently while maintaining integrity in client relationships.
- A passion for mentoring others and contributing to a collaborative team culture.

Job Type: Apprenticeship
Pay: From £7.50 per hour
Expected hours: 30 per week
