Responsibilities
The main responsibilities of the Quality Inspector: -
1) Visually inspect all parts presented to the wall from production in line with the part specific Quality Wall presentations.
2) Measuring & gauging of parts presented to the wall from production as instructed using equipment provided.
3) Operate the computerised Quality Wall presentation system in line with software and operating instructions.
4) Once inspected, scan parts with the bar-code scanner.
5) Verify part identification matches container labelling before releasing containers to stock.
6) Verify the quantities of parts in each container matches the labelling both when parts are inspected as good, and when rejected parts are replaced at the wall.
7) Use barcode recognition equipment where instructed in line with customer instructions.
8) Accurately record the numbers of parts checked and rejects identified.
9) Ensure safe working practices are followed at all times, reporting hazards in your area of work to help the Company minimise accidents, incidents, and ill-health in the workplace.
10) Ensure proper control with regard to the safe keeping and care of any Company equipment provided for your use.
11) You will be prepared to vary your hours of work as necessary or as may be directed in order to meet Company needs, including working shifts. The Company will endeavour to give reasonable notice of any variation in hours of work.
12) Carry out any other Quality Control duties as may be required by management.
13) Ensure that at all times your conduct is in accordance with all Company rules and procedures together with any relevant legislation including Health & Safety Duties.
14) Undergo such training as may be considered necessary / appropriate by management to develop the role and you as a individual.
15) Contribute to good housekeeping routines ensuring designated work areas are clean, tidy and kept free from hazards.
16) Carry out all duties in accordance with the company Quality systems and hygiene standards maintaining safe working practices.
17) To carry out any other duties as instructed by the company, which may be necessary in order to ensure the efficient operation of the company.
18) Maintain the continuity of the production, monitor the process and maintain rate of production.
19) Work within a team, treating colleagues in a manner which promotes and maintains goodwill.
20) Maintain the Health & Safety of self, other workers and visitors by conforming to statutory and general Health & Safety requirements.
21) Ensure whilst carrying out duties all personal protective equipment is worn as required.
22) Contribute to good housekeeping routines, ensuring designated work areas are clean and tidy and kept free from hazards.
23) You will undertake other tasks for which they are considered appropriately capable, as may be directed from time to time.
24) Will be responsible for the safe custody and maintenance of any equipment allocated to them in the course of their duties.
25) To ensure familiarity with all Company Emergency Procedures.
26) Undertake any appropriate training as may be considered necessary by management.

36.7 hours per week
Monday to Friday
3 shift rotating pattern - 06:00-14:00, 14:00-22:00 & 22:00-06:00 (weekly rotation)
Hourly Rate
£13.57 - £13.81 per hour.
