Overview
we are looking for an exceptional General Manager to lead one of our flagship restaurants. We are seeking a passionate, commercially driven leader with a proven track record of delivering outstanding guest experiences, developing high performing teams, and driving strong financial results.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional to take full ownership of a busy restaurant, inspire their team, and play a key role in the continued success of the Afrikana brand.
Responsibilities
- Lead the day to day operation of the restaurant, ensuring exceptional service and operational excellence.
- Drive sales, profitability and overall business performance by managing key financial metrics including labour, food cost and operating expenses.
- Recruit, train, coach and develop managers and team members to build a high performing and engaged team.
- Deliver outstanding guest experiences while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, cleanliness and service.
- Manage rotas, staffing levels, stock control, ordering and inventory to maximise efficiency.
- Analyse business performance through KPIs, identify opportunities for growth and implement action plans.
- Ensure full compliance with food safety, health and safety, licensing and company policies.
- Create a positive culture built on accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with senior management to achieve business objectives and drive long term success.
Requirements
- Minimum three years’ experience as a General Manager or Senior Manager within a busy restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach and develop teams.
- Proven experience managing high volume operations and delivering commercial results.
- Excellent understanding of labour management, food cost control and profit and loss.
- Outstanding communication, organisational and problem solving skills.
- Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
- Full right to work in the UK.

Pay: £38,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
