Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality food services. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with food preparation, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring food safety standards are upheld. Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients
- Support the cooking process under supervision, ensuring dishes are prepared efficiently and to standard
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment
- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times to ensure a safe working environment
- Organise ingredients and supplies to facilitate smooth kitchen operations
- Support meal preparation for various service periods, ensuring timely delivery of dishes
- Assist with serving food to customers or staff as required
- Restock supplies and monitor inventory levels to ensure availability of necessary ingredients
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is advantageous
- Basic cooking skills and familiarity with food preparation techniques are preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good organisational skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately
