Sporting Stars Academy is an independent specialist school for young people aged 14 to 19. Judged outstanding in all areas by Ofsted in July 2025, we support pupils for whom mainstream education has not been successful, many of whom have Education, Health and Care Plans relating to social, emotional and mental health needs.
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Nurture Teacher who can provide high-quality, engaging learning while helping pupils develop confidence, emotional regulation, resilience and independence.
The successful candidate will be a qualified teacher who:
- Has high expectations for every pupil
- Understands SEND, SEMH and barriers to learning
- Can create a calm, safe and nurturing learning environment
- Adapts teaching to meet individual needs and EHCP outcomes
- Works effectively with families and other professionals
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to safeguarding
