Rushtons has been supplying the capital's best restaurants, hotels, and catering operations for over 20 years. We're built on a simple promise — on time, in full, every time — and we need an Operations Manager who can help us keep it.
This is a senior leadership role with real breadth. You'll oversee our entire operation — warehouse, goods in, transport, and despatch — leading a team of operational managers and making sure everything runs smoothly from the moment produce arrives to the moment it reaches our customers' kitchens.

What the role involves
- Taking overall accountability for warehouse, goods in, transport, and despatch operations
- Leading and developing a team of operational managers and supervisors
- Overseeing the full supply chain — from inbound produce receipt to outbound customer delivery
- Holding ultimate responsibility for food safety, cold chain compliance, and audit readiness
- Managing operational budgets and driving cost efficiency without compromising quality
- Owning H&S across all operational areas
- Leading continuous improvement across processes, systems, and ways of working
- Reporting on operational KPIs and performance to the senior leadership team
What we're looking for
- A seasoned operations leader with a background in fresh produce, food distribution, or a comparable perishable goods environment
- Experience managing managers — you know how to get the best out of a team at every level
- Strong knowledge of food safety, cold chain, and distribution compliance
- Commercially aware — comfortable with budgets, costs, and operational KPIs
- A calm, decisive head when things get busy — and they will
- Someone who leads from the front and sets the standard

Pay: £70,000.00-£90,000.00 per year
