Join our dedicated team as a Healthcare Assistant in a vibrant residential care home, where your compassion and enthusiasm will make a meaningful difference in residents’ lives. In this role, you will provide essential support to elderly and vulnerable individuals, ensuring they receive respectful, personalized care that promotes their well-being and independence. Your proactive attitude and excellent communication skills will help create a warm, welcoming environment for all residents.
Duties
- Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote comfort and dignity
- Support the development and implementation of personalized care plans tailored to each resident’s needs and preferences
- Monitor residents’ health and well-being, reporting any changes or concerns to the nursing team promptly
- Engage residents in social activities and conversations to foster a positive community atmosphere
- Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems and ensure all documentation complies with regulatory standards
- Support with medication administration following prescribed protocols (if qualified)
- Facilitate effective communication between residents, families, and team members to ensure everyone stays informed and involved
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided
- Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with residents, families, and colleagues
- Ability to use IT systems for documentation and care planning purposes
- Valid driving license is preferred for roles involving community or home visits
- Knowledge of care plans, health & safety procedures, and safeguarding policies is desirable
- Demonstrated empathy, patience, and excellent interpersonal skills to support vulnerable individuals effectively

Pay: £12.82 per hour
