Operating from our BRCGS Grade AA accredited warehouse in Battersea, we've built a reputation for exceptional service, quality, and reliability. We continue to grow and are looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Picker/Packer to join our night warehouse team.
The Role
As a Warehouse Picker/Packer, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive accurate, high-quality orders every night. Working within a fast-paced chilled and ambient warehouse, you'll be responsible for picking, packing and preparing orders for dispatch while maintaining excellent standards of food safety and warehouse organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders using consolidation sheets and invoices.
- Check products for quality, correct pack sizes, quantities and use-by dates.
- Ensure excellent stock rotation and report any short-dated or damaged products.
- Prepare and stage orders for loading onto delivery vehicles.
- Receive and put away incoming deliveries when required.
- Record damaged or wasted stock in accordance with company procedures.
- Process customer orders received via email and voicemail as instructed.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment.
- Work to BRCGS Grade AA food safety standards and company procedures.
- Support colleagues and assist with other warehouse duties as required.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous warehouse picking and packing experience.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong reading and numerical skills.
- Reliable with excellent timekeeping.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Comfortable working as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills, including Outlook and Windows.
Requirements for the role:
- Warehouse experience essential, particularly in goods inward, Picking Packing and Loading vehicles.
- A valid Forklift license is preferred.
- Driver’s license/moped license is advantageous.
Job Summary
Night Shift: 22:00 – 06:30
Location: Battersea, London SW8
Salary: £25,000–£27,000 per year (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Breaks: 30-minute unpaid break (8 paid hours per shift)
