Following recent changes in management, we are committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care and are looking for experienced Senior Mental Health Support Workers to join our dedicated team.

About the Role
As a Senior Mental Health Support Worker, you will play a key role in leading shifts, supporting the care team and ensuring residents receive safe, effective and person-centred care in line with CQC Fundamental Standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and coordinating shifts.
- Supporting adults with enduring mental health conditions.
- Administering and recording medication safely in accordance with company policy.
- Supporting residents with personal care whilst promoting dignity, independence and choice.
- Completing accurate care records, incident reports and risk assessments.
- Responding appropriately to mental health crises and behaviours of concern.
- Liaising with GPs, Community Mental Health Teams, Social Workers and other healthcare professionals.
- Supporting junior staff through guidance, mentoring and role modelling.
- Ensuring compliance with safeguarding, infection prevention and control, Health & Safety and Fire Safety procedures.
- Promoting recovery-focused and person-centred care.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is:

- Experienced in a residential care, supported living or mental health setting.

- Organised with excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Committed to maintaining high standards of care and professionalism.
Essential Requirements
- NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
- Previous experience within a mental health or adult social care setting.
- Previous experience leading or supervising staff.
- Experience administering medication safely.
- Good understanding of:
- Mental Capacity Act (MCA)
- Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS)
- Safeguarding Adults
- CQC Fundamental Standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work flexibly across shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Desirable
- Experience within a residential mental health service.
- Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) experience.
- De-escalation or conflict resolution training.
- Knowledge of Nourish, Camascope or other electronic care systems.
- Medication competency certification.
