Salary: Grade G, points 8 to 13 (£8,417.96 - £9,121.08 pro rata)

The school has approximately 200 students and 34 staff. The site consists of a single building.
We are seeking a talented and committed Class & SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team.
The successful candidate will:
- Have experience of working with pupils in an educational setting
- Have a primary focus on supporting pupils' academic learning, curriculum progression, and classroom engagement
- Possess knowledge and/or experience of delivering phonics programs, with experience in Read Write Inc. being highly desirable
- Have experience of working with pupils in an educational setting, including supporting children with diverse learning needs, behavior issues, and physical disabilities.
- Be resilient, cheerful, patient, and flexible.
- Have a strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and utilizing recording systems like CPOMS.
- Be prepared to work across the school, providing one-on-one or group support to pupils to implement intervention plans and maximize their quality of education.
- Be able to deliver targeted learning interventions to individuals or groups of pupils.
- Participate in school activities and initiatives to ensure pupils receive the highest quality of education.
- Actively supervise children throughout the day, including scheduled playtimes and lunchtimes, to promote positive learning behaviors.
- Hold a minimum of Grade C in English and Maths GCSE or an equivalent qualification.
- Be resilient, cheerful, patient, and flexible.
Position Details
- This role will be to support children of all year groups that need 1 to 1 support or in small groups outside of the classroom.
- This is a fixed-term contract until 31 August 2027. Continued employment beyond this date may be considered based on the needs of the school.
- Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK and will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check.
