Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Nursery Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within and around our nursery premises. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring all areas are hygienic and well-presented, supporting the overall wellbeing of children and staff. Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is advantageous, though training will be provided for the right candidate. Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of nursery rooms, play areas, toilets, and communal spaces using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment
- Ensure all surfaces are sanitised regularly to meet health and safety standards
- Maintain the cleanliness of the outdoor surroundings of the nursery
- Maintain cleanliness of toys, furniture, and equipment, ensuring they are safe and hygienic for children
- Restock cleaning supplies and toiletries as needed to ensure continuous availability
- Dispose of waste responsibly and keep designated storage areas organised
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to prevent accidents or contamination
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards to management promptly
Experience
- Prior experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and equipment is beneficial
- Attention to detail and organisational skills are important for maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- A proactive attitude towards health and safety regulations is essential
