Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks with precision and flair
- Assist in food preparation, including assembling sandwiches, salads, or baked goods as needed
- Ensure all food safety protocols are followed to maintain hygiene standards at all times
- Serve customers efficiently while providing friendly, attentive service that encourages repeat visits
- Manage cash register operations accurately, including handling transactions and giving correct change
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and dining areas to uphold health standards
- Support team members during busy periods by multitasking and managing time effectively
Experience
- Previous barista experience is highly preferred; familiarity with coffee machines and beverage preparation
- Knowledge of food safety practices and standards to ensure safe handling of all food items
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment demonstrating excellent communication skills
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order calculations
- Strong time management abilities to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team in a lively setting
