Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Nursery Practitioner/Room Leader to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this dynamic role, you will lead dedicated early years practitioners, oversee daily nursery operations, and create a nurturing environment where children can thrive. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a designated nursery room, ensuring the delivery of high standards of childcare and early education.
- Plan and implement stimulating activities that support children’s developmental needs across all areas including social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth.
- Supervise and mentor nursery practitioners, providing guidance on best practices in childcare and early childhood education.
- Maintain accurate records of children’s progress, attendance, and daily routines in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to share updates on children’s development and address any concerns promptly.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children by adhering to health and safety policies, conducting risk assessments, and maintaining a secure environment.
- Support the recruitment, training, and ongoing professional development of nursery staff to foster a motivated team committed to excellence.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience within a childcare or nursery setting, demonstrating leadership skills and team coordination.
- Strong understanding of child development principles and early years curriculum frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and team members.
- Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent.
- Valid first aid certification is preferred to ensure immediate response to emergencies.

Pay: £25,420.00-£32,760.00 per year
