Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Front of House Manager to oversee the daily operations of our hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for exceptional customer service, and a comprehensive understanding of restaurant and hospitality environments. Duties
- Supervise front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts, and baristas, ensuring efficient service delivery
- Oversee guest reservations, seating arrangements, and manage waiting lists to optimise customer flow
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are maintained in accordance with regulations.
- Lead by example in delivering excellent customer service, resolving guest complaints promptly and professionally
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication between front and back of house
- Organise staff schedules, training sessions, and team meetings to foster a motivated work environment
- Monitor cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere at all times
- Manage stock levels for front-of-house supplies such as menus, condiments, and linen
Skills
- Proven experience in supervising or managing within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedure.
- Familiarity with food production processes and kitchen operations
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly yet professional demeanour
- Ability to handle guest complaints diplomatically and efficiently
- Previous experience in hotel or barista roles is considered beneficial but not essential
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
