We are seeking a skilled Joiner/Cabinet Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworking and joinery, with the ability to create high-quality cabinets and furniture pieces. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a passion for craftsmanship. The Joiner/Cabinet Maker will work closely with other team members to bring their visions to life through custom cabinetry.
Position arising due to retirement
Duties
- Construct and assemble cabinets and furniture using various materials, ensuring high standards of quality and craftsmanship.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively, including saws, drills, and sanders, to shape and finish wood components.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to accurately create custom designs.
- Perform joinery tasks with precision, ensuring all joints are secure and aesthetically pleasing
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Joiner/Cabinet Maker or in a similar role within the woodworking industry.
- Strong skills in joinery, assembly, and the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to read technical drawings and plans accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations related to woodworking practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
