Christmas at Bewl Water – Performer Auditions 2026
Christmas at Bewl Water is seeking talented, engaging and energetic performers to help bring our immersive festive experience to life this winter. Set within woodland beside the South East’s largest reservoir, this is a three-hour immersive adventure designed for families. Through live performance, storytelling, interactive workshops and one-to-one character encounters, audiences take part in a festive journey filled with magic, music and seasonal storytelling. Following three successful years, the event has become one of Kent’s most popular family Christmas experiences. We return this November and December with an expanded cast and exciting new creative elements.
Roles
We are casting a large ensemble of performers to portray a variety of festive characters within the experience. These include:
- Scripted character roles
- Roaming interactive characters
- Movement and dance-based performers
- Featured character roles within the narrative
All roles involve portraying fictional festive characters as part of an immersive storyline.
Who We’re Looking For
Actors
We are seeking strong performers with excellent characterisation skills, physical awareness, stamina, and a natural ability to engage with family audiences.
Dancers
We are also looking for performers with strong movement or dance training. These roles involve learning and performing choreographed routines as part of the wider experience, while remaining in character and interacting with audiences.
All Performers Should Be Comfortable With
- Repeating performances multiple times per day
- Interactive and improvised audience engagement
- Maintaining character and energy throughout the day
- Working collaboratively as part of an ensemble
Inclusivity

Please note: Due to the rural location, independent travel is strongly recommended.
Contract
- Paid freelance contract
- Approx. 10 hours per day (varies by role)

Requirements
- Aged 18+
- Right to work in the UK
- DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
- Comfortable working outdoors in winter conditions
- Available for all rehearsals and performance dates
- Performance experience preferred
