Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter and Decorator to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying paints, wallpaper, and other finishes to various surfaces, internally and externally, ensuring high-quality results to meet key specifications. This role requires attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Access to tools, a vehicle and a full valid UK driving licence is essential, as the position involves travel across multiple sites.
The position offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual to join our growing property company, working to enhance our existing homes, and also working with our projects team to bring new properties onboard.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces.
- Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard of quality and within specified deadlines
- Protect surrounding areas by covering furniture, floors, and fixtures during work
- Communicate effectively with line managers and team members regarding project requirements and progress
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently during all tasks
Experience
- Proven experience in painting and decorating is essential
- Knowledge of different types of paints, finishes, and decorating techniques
- Experience working on various types of surfaces including walls, ceilings, woodwork, and exteriors
- Familiarity with health and safety standards relevant to the trade
- Good communication skills to work within our team of operatives, and with third party contractors
- Driving experience with a valid licence is essential.
