Our client, one of the UK’s largest automotive service networks, is looking for a dedicated Centre Manager to join their busy Bath location. - Competitive starting salary of £38,000 to £40,000 per annum, depending on experience

- Structured working week: 42.5 hours over five days (Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm) and one in two Saturdays (8:00am-4:00pm), with a weekday day off when working weekends
Duties:
- Lead and motivate a team of workshop and front-of-house staff to deliver excellent customer service and maximise sales
- Drive sales conversion by ensuring team members effectively utilise telephone techniques and call-back procedures
- Manage daily operations of the centre, maintaining high standards of safety, security, and stock control
- Oversee the maintenance and servicing of equipment and machinery
- Control stock levels, ensure accurate stock control systems, and prepare for audits in line with company policies
- Ensure compliance with health and safety, safety procedures, and company standards
- Work closely with the Regional Manager to meet performance targets
- Occasionally support the workshop team with technical or mechanical tasks, leveraging relevant experience and knowledge
Requirements:
- Proven management or supervisory experience within the automotive or retail sector
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and maintain a motivated team
- Technical/mechanical knowledge of vehicles, with the ability to support workshop operations when needed
- Experience in driving sales, controlling costs, and ensuring excellent customer service
- Ability to manage stock control, safety, and security procedures effectively
- UK driving licence with minimal points is essential
