Job Role to Include:
Manual Machining Pump components : Shafts, Impellers, etc, parts off Industrial Water, Chemical and Vacuum Pumps, Plus other duties to assist in the machining and repair of rotating equipment
* Ability to machine accurately from drawings and samples
* Remedial and Reverse Engineering practices – salvage bushes, shaft reclamation
* Recording dimensions and documentation actioned and completed - working as part of busy team
* Standard hours and overtime when required
Qualifications / Experience required for the Centre Lathe Turner / Manual Machinist
* Successful Candidate must be a Time Served and accurate machinist (C.G.L.I Part 3 OR O.N.C.)
* Working knowledge of Centre Lathes, Borers, Milling, Slotting & Radial Arm Drills
* Good Engineering Knowledges / Experience / Skills required - working to close tolerances
* Assembly work may also be required with components
Personal Attributes required for the Centre Lathe Turner / Manual Machinist
* Need a “Can do approach” - Flexible working will be required
* Organised – be able to work to agreed time scales - clean & presentable appearance
* Good documentation / communication skills required
* Must be in good physical health – demanding position with some manual handling involved, mainly using mechanical aids
Pay Rate £17.00 (£34,500) to £21.70 (£44,000)
Overtime at 1.5x rate
25 Days Holiday plus Bank Holidays
08.00 to 16.30 Mon to Thur
08.00 to 15.30 Fri (39hrs Total)
Pay: £34,500.00-£44,000.00 per year
