Sports Coach
Role Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable, and professional Sports Coach to deliver high-quality PE lessons, after-school sports clubs, and one-to-one football coaching sessions. The successful candidate will be passionate about inspiring young people through sport, acting as a positive role model, and creating engaging, inclusive, and enjoyable learning environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality PE lessons in primary schools, following the school’s curriculum and individual needs.
- Plan and deliver engaging after-school sports clubs across a variety of sports.
- Deliver one-to-one football coaching sessions outside of school, tailoring sessions to each individual’s ability and development goals (Optional).
- Deliver half term football & multisports camps (optional).
- Ensure all sessions are safe, inclusive, enjoyable, and delivered to a consistently high standard.
- Act as a positive role model, promoting teamwork, respect, confidence, and healthy lifestyles.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, school staff, parents, and colleagues.
- Adapt coaching sessions to meet the needs and abilities of different participants.
- Maintain high standards of professionalism, punctuality, and presentation at all times.
- Complete any required session planning, registers, and relevant administrative tasks.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including safeguarding, health and safety, and behaviour management.
Requirements
- A passion for coaching and developing young people through sport.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to confidently deliver engaging PE and sports sessions.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous coaching or teaching experience is desirable.
- A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable.
Training & Compliance
Successful candidates will receive training and support where required, including:
- Safeguarding and Child Protection Training.
- Emergency First Aid Training.
- Ongoing coaching development and mentoring.
Interview Process
Successful applicants will be invited to an interview to discuss their coaching experience, delivery style, and suitability for the role. Candidates may also be asked to complete a practical coaching session or answer scenario-based questions related to delivering PE lessons and coaching young people.
Pay: £12.71-£25.00 per hour
