Experienced Commis Chef looking to progress in a fresh-food kitchen in our 14th Century Inn with 6 Bedrooms. A long-standing, privately owned business with excellent staff retention record
To assist Head Chef and two Sous Chefs in the day to day running of the kitchen, input into menu development, and with a genuine interest in progression to Chef de Partie.
Operating on 4.5 days out of 7 rota, to include a share of breakfast services.
Approx. 45 hours per week but overtime paid if 50+ hours worked (if necessary due to illness/holidays)
Holiday pay plus double time for bank holidays - closed on Christmas Day
Share of excellent gratuities/TRONC all year round (approx £5,000 p.a.)
No live-in available so reliable transport essential if you do not live in the Town
Early September start date required.
DBS (paid for if not already in place) and references will be sought
A good level of spoken/written English essential - and a good team spirit also essential.
