Love dogs and enjoy spending your days outdoors, whatever the weather?
At TW Dogs, no two days are ever the same. From collecting excited dogs from their homes to watching friendships grow in our purpose built private paddocks, you'll spend your days making a genuine difference to dogs' lives.
For over ten years, we've been providing premium dog day care across the TW postcode area, creating a calm, safe and enriching environment where dogs can socialise, learn and thrive. Our experienced team is passionate about dog welfare and behaviour, and we're looking for someone who shares those values to join us.
Why Join TW Dogs?
We believe looking after our team is just as important as looking after our dogs. Here's what you can look forward to:
- Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. No evenings or weekends.
- Competitive salary from £12.82 per hour, with opportunities for future development and progression.
- Paid annual leave, including time off over Christmas and New Year.
- Company pension scheme.
- Employee Assistance Programme providing free mental health support.
- Peer to peer recognition programme.
- Full training and ongoing professional development.
- Casual workwear provided.
- Spend every day outdoors with wonderful dogs and a supportive team.
The Role
Every day is different.
One minute you'll be collecting dogs from their homes in one of our custom fitted vans, the next you'll be supervising carefully matched playgroups, setting up enrichment activities or helping muddy paws get cleaned before home time.
You'll play an important part in creating a safe, fun and enriching experience while building trusting relationships with both our dogs and their owners.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely collect and return dogs using our custom fitted VW Transporter vans.
- Supervise carefully matched playgroups, ensuring every dog remains safe, happy and engaged.
- Create and support fun enrichment activities that encourage natural behaviours and confidence.
- Build trusting relationships with both dogs and their owners.
- Clean and dry dogs before they head home.
- Help maintain our purpose built private paddocks to a high standard.
- Support daily cleaning routines and general operational tasks.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who genuinely loves dogs, enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in providing exceptional care. Experience is helpful, but attitude, reliability and a willingness to learn are just as important.
Essential Requirements
- Full UK manual driving licence.
- Comfortable driving a medium sized van, such as a VW Transporter.
- Lives locally to our collection areas.
- Physically fit and happy working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Confident handling groups of energetic dogs while maintaining excellent safety standards.
- Honest, reliable and an excellent communicator.
- Calm under pressure with a positive, proactive attitude.
Desirable Experience
- At least four years' driving experience.
- Previous experience working with dogs or an animal care qualification.
- Good local knowledge of Twickenham, Teddington, Hampton and surrounding areas, or the ability to learn routes quickly.
Location
Ideally, you'll live within approximately five miles of our collection areas in Twickenham, Teddington or Hampton.
Due to our early morning collections, applications from candidates with a typical rush hour commute of more than forty minutes are unlikely to be suitable.
