Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive Electronics Team Supervisor to lead a small, dedicated team in maintaining the NRA’s electronic target systems across the site. Including Intarso, Kongsberg, Shot Marker and various other turning, advancing and running targets. The role also involves preparing for key events and competitions throughout the season.
The successful candidate will have strong leadership and organisational skills, hands-on experience in diagnosing and maintaining electronic systems, the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. A flexible, can-do attitude is essential, along with a willingness to work some weekends in line with event schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, and lead the Electronics Team by example; plan and schedule daily tasks and callouts
- Ensure all electronics target systems are operational and maintained to a high standard
- Preparation of set up of systems for daily and competition shooting
- Planning of routine scheduled pro-active maintenance
- Production and repair of electronic targetry
- Fault finding and repair of systems as required
- Coordination with external suppliers
- Maintain and record all system schematics and set ups for the different ranges
- Manage materials ordering, stock control, and inventory for Electronics operations
- Adhere to and promote compliance with all relevant Health & Safety regulations
- Complete relevant administrative duties as directed
- Development of existing and new systems to ensure the NRA ranges operate effectively based on current and new technology
Desirable Skills and Attributes
- Proven experience in supervisory or team leader role
- Experience in diagnostic fault finding and repairs on electronic systems
- Knowledge of programming and operating systems
- Desire to learn and extend knowledge base
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Skilled in the use of hand tools and workshop equipment (e.g. drills, saws)
- Basic carpentry or woodworking experience
- Customer-focused approach with a problem-solving mindset
- Ability to plan, delegate and manage daily tasks effectively
- Confident communication and interpersonal skills
- Full UK driving licence (required)
