Pay: £25.00 per hour
Hours: Flexible, with opportunities to increase teaching hours as our school provision continues to grow.

ODM Academy is one of Staffordshire's leading independent music schools, delivering high-quality instrumental tuition both within schools and through our growing education partnerships across Stoke-on-Trent.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and inspiring Strings or Woodwind Teacher to join our expanding school tuition team.
The Role
This position is solely based within schools and involves delivering high-quality instrumental tuition during the school day.
Teaching will include:
- One-to-one lessons
- Small group tuition (typically no more than three students)
- Working with both primary and secondary school pupils
As our school programme continues to expand, there will be opportunities for additional teaching hours.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, enjoyable and well-structured instrumental lessons.
- Teach students of varying ages and abilities.
- Prepare students for graded examinations where appropriate (ABRSM, Trinity or equivalent).
- Adapt lessons to suit individual learning styles and musical goals.
- Build positive relationships with students, school staff and parents.
- Maintain accurate registers, lesson records and student progress.
- Represent ODM Academy professionally within our partner schools.
Essential Requirements
- Grade 8 (or equivalent) on your principal instrument.
- Confident teaching to an advanced standard.
- Excellent music reading skills.
- Ability to prepare students for graded examinations.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Friendly, reliable and professional approach.
- Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle, as travel between schools is essential.
Desirable
- Previous instrumental teaching experience (preferred but not essential).
- Experience teaching within primary or secondary schools.
- Knowledge of ABRSM, Trinity or other recognised examination boards.
