Duties
- Deliver personalised care in accordance with individual care plans, ensuring each child's needs are met with compassion and professionalism
- Support children with daily activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, educational tasks, and recreational pursuits
- Lead and supervise team members to maintain a safe and supportive environment while promoting best practices in childcare
- Maintain accurate documentation of care activities, incident reports, and updates to care plans
- Foster open communication with children, families, social workers, and other professionals to ensure cohesive support, care and development
- Drive company policies on safeguarding and child protection protocols
- Assist in planning activities that promote social skills development, independence, and emotional resilience
- Oversee a shift, ensuring leadership, ownership and dedication
Experience and qualifications
- Proven experience, of more than 2 years, working with children or young people in a residential or childcare setting
- Strong understanding of child development and strategies to support, and enhance, development
- Ability to develop and implement effective care plans tailored to individual needs
- Excellent communication skills to engage confidently with children, families, colleagues, and external agencies
- Valid driving license preferred for transporting children or attending off-site activities
- Competency in using IT systems for record keeping, reporting, and communication purposes
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide team members effectively

Pay: £32,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
