Remsons Automotive Ltd., a global automotive components manufacturer and 100% owned by Remsons Industries Limited, India. With its strong legacy of innovation and engineering excellence, we are looking for a highly motivated Process Engineer to join our growing team. To support the delivery of customer program, ensuring cost, quality, and timing objectives are met. The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to develop and optimise manufacturing processes. You will play a key role in driving continuous improvement and ensuring alignment with customer and business requirements. Our UK manufacturing plant located at Baldwin Road, Stourport on Severn Experience: Engineer with 4 plus years of experience, having worked in either auto-components industry or any other engineering industry.
Qualification: The ideal candidate should have a minimum HND, with a degree in Mechanical or Design Engineering preferred, along with at least 2 years of experience in mechanical design or project engineering within a manufacturing environment. A strong understanding of APQP, FMEA, and process engineering principles is essential. The candidate should be a good technical communicator, well-organised, and able to work independently with a methodical and analytical approach.
Key Responsibilities :
- Interpret customer requirements and deliver projects aligned to cost, quality, and timing targets
- Manage programme timelines and ensure milestone adherence
- Support Production Engineering activities in line with customer specifications
- Evaluate design changes and assess impact on processes and programmes
- Perform design calculations and support design and testing functions
- Coordinate with internal and external suppliers to meet programme objectives
- Contribute to design reviews and APQP activities across all phases
- Lead PFMEA preparation and support DFMEA development
- Drive cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support supplier selection, process trials, and issue resolution
- Maintain programme documentation, status reports, and open issue tracking
- Provide technical support across departments and ensure process compliance with safety and environmental standards
Additional Responsibilities:
- Support audits, documentation, and continuous improvement activities
- Ensure all processes are risk assessed and compliant with legal and environmental standards
- Travel to customer and supplier locations as require
