We are seeking a motivated and skilled Recovery Driver Class 1 & 2 to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Operate recovery vehicles and other specialized tools to safely recover and transport vehicles from accident sites, breakdowns, or other locations
- Conduct thorough inspections of recovered vehicles to assess damage and determine appropriate recovery methods
- Ensure all driving activities comply with traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies
- Manage delivery of recovered vehicles to designated locations or repair facilities efficiently and responsibly
- Maintain accurate logs of all recoveries, deliveries, and vehicle movements for reporting purposes
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and emergency responders during recovery operations
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks on recovery trucks to ensure optimal performance
Qualifications
- Valid Class 1 or Class 2 commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or recovery driver, preferably with flatbed operation knowledge
- Strong understanding of commercial driving regulations and safety standards
- Experience with vehicle recovery equipment such as flatbeds, winches, and towing gear
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently under pressure
- Physical ability to load, unload, and secure vehicles safely during recovery operations
- Nice-to-have skills include familiarity with delivery driver procedures and previous experience in vehicle transportation or roadside assistance
Both day and night shifts available.
You will be part of an on call rota
Pay: £35,000.00-£70,000.00 per year
