Quantity Surveyor – Retail Fit-Out & Nationwide Rollouts

Location: Farringdon, London
PRL Logistics is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a proven track record in retail fit-out, shopfitting and multi-site nationwide rollout programmes.
This is a hands-on commercial role managing high-volume installation programmes, labour-only subcontractors and live multi-site projects. You will take ownership of budgets, cost control and commercial recovery across major retail fit-out packages for leading UK brands.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide full commercial management of multi-site retail fit-out and nationwide rollout programmes
- Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs), valuations, variations and final accounts
- Procure and commercially manage labour-only subcontractors and specialist packages
- Negotiate labour rates, subcontract packages and commercial agreements
- Track store-level costs, productivity, programme performance and project margins
- Identify commercial risks, cost exposure and opportunities for recovery
- Work closely with Project Managers, Procurement and Operations to maintain tight commercial control
- Ensure all additional works, changes and subcontractor costs are properly instructed, recorded and recovered
What We’re Looking For
- Proven Quantity Surveying experience in retail fit-out, shopfitting or interior construction
- Strong background managing nationwide or multi-site retail rollout programmes
- Hands-on experience with labour-only subcontractors and installation teams
- Excellent commercial, negotiation and cost-control skills
- Solid experience of CVRs, forecasting, valuations, variations and final accounts
- Advanced Excel and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
- Commercially astute, proactive and confident challenging costs and assumptions
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced delivery environment
