Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team at a renowned Lithuanian restaurant in Vilnius Lithuania, Radisson Collection Astorija. As Head Chef, you will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food safety, presentation, and customer satisfaction are maintained at all times. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team, fostering a positive and productive working environment
- Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency and quality across all dishes
- Manage food preparation and cooking activities, maintaining high standards of presentation and taste
- Develop innovative menus that reflect authentic Lithuanian cuisine whilst incorporating modern culinary trends
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards in accordance with legal requirements
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control efficiently
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to enhance their skills and professional development
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen area at all times
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting
- Extensive culinary experience specialising in Lithuanian cuisine or similar Eastern European styles
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
- Excellent knowledge of food production, preparation, and cooking techniques
- Solid understanding of food safety standards and regulations
- Previous experience in restaurant management or head chef roles preferred
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and suppliers
