Overview
We are looking for an experienced, reliable and confident Front of House / All-Rounder to join our small, close-knit team at MONA’s.
This is a long-term position suited to someone who genuinely enjoys hospitality, takes pride in their work, and is comfortable working across all areas of the restaurant.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly and manage reservations efficiently to ensure smooth seating arrangements
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, providing attentive and friendly service throughout the guest’s visit
- Serve food and drinks in accordance with food safety standards, ensuring presentation is appealing
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including tables, counters, and service stations
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks
- Handle guest enquiries promptly and professionally, resolving any issues to ensure satisfaction
- Manage cash register operations accurately, including processing payments and issuing receipts
- Support the team during busy periods by working collaboratively to deliver efficient service
- Following MONA’s systems, standards and food safety practices at all times
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service ; training will be provided
- Strong spoken English (essential)
- food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques is desirable
- Confident, proactive and able to work independently
- A positive, respectful and team-focused attitude
- Willingness to take ownership of all aspects of the role, no matter how big or small
- Food Hygiene Level 2 and allergen awareness
- Right to work in the UK
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour to engage with guests positively
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Basic Kitchen experience or culinary background is a plus
- Good time management skills to ensure timely service delivery
