We are looking for an experienced and dependable roofer to join our growing team. We carry out a wide range of roofing and building work across Stockport and the surrounding areas, working on both residential and commercial properties.

We want someone who:
* Has solid experience working within the roofing industry.
* Is competent in pitched roofing, including slate and tiled roofs.
* Can complete re-roofs, roof repairs, dry ridge and dry verge systems.
* Has experience with leadwork, chimneys, valleys and general roof maintenance.
* Takes pride in producing high-quality, tidy work.
* Is reliable, punctual and turns up ready to work.
* Can work confidently as part of a team and, when required, use their own initiative.
* Is polite and respectful when dealing with customers and other trades.
* Looks after company tools, vehicles and equipment.
* Is willing to learn, improve and take on different types of work.
* Communicates clearly with the office and reports any problems promptly.
* Understands the importance of health and safety when working at height.
Main responsibilities
The role will include:
* Stripping and renewing slate and tiled roofs.
* Installing breathable membrane, battens, tiles, slates and ridge systems.
* Completing roof repairs and identifying potential roofing problems.
* Carrying out leadwork, chimney repairs and pointing.
* Installing dry ridge, dry verge and roofline systems.
* Working safely from scaffolding, ladders and other access equipment.
* Preparing material lists and letting the office know what is required in advance.
* Taking progress photographs and reporting on completed work.
* Representing the company professionally.
* Leaving every job clean and presentable.
Requirements
* Previous roofing experience is essential.
* A full UK driving licence would be an advantage.
* Must be comfortable working at height.
* Must be physically fit and able to carry out manual roofing work.
* Relevant qualifications and certifications would be beneficial but are not essential.
* Must have a good attitude and be dependable.
