Support Worker
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Support Workers to join our friendly and committed team across our residential homes located in Allenton/ Alvaston
Experience and strong knowledge of mental health are essential, as the role involves supporting adults with mental health diagnoses within a residential care environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Contract Types: Full-time, part time
Shift Pattern: As required – days, nights, or a combination of both
Weekly Hours: 33-44 hrs
You will work alongside our experienced team of support workers to ensure the safe, effective, and person-centred running of the service.
Key Responsibilities
- Protect and promote the rights of service users.
- Complete daily records, incident logs, and all required documentation.
- Report any concerns regarding the wellbeing of service users.
- Identify and report health and safety issues.
- Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary health teams to support therapeutic care.
- Assist with medication administration (where applicable).
- Maintain strict confidentiality and engage in ongoing professional development.
- Carry out any additional reasonable duties as required by the service.
- Provide emotional and practical support to service users.
Requirements
Experience:
- 2-4 years’ experience in residential care homes (required)
Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 2-3 in Health & Social Care (required)
- Transferable DBS (required)
Pay: £12.80-£13.00 per hour
