Responsibilities
- Remove, fit, and balance tyres on commercial vehicles using hand tools and power tools
- Conduct thorough inspections of tyres and wheels to identify damage or wear
- Perform routine maintenance on tyre fitting equipment and tools to ensure safety and efficiency
- Assist customers by providing expert advice on tyre selection, maintenance, and safety procedures
- Lift heavy tyres safely using proper techniques and equipment to prevent injury
- Maintain accurate records of all tyre services performed and parts used
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all tasks
Experience
- Proven mechanical knowledge related to tyre fitting or automotive maintenance
- Experience using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and tyre levers
- Familiarity with power tools used in tyre fitting or vehicle maintenance
- Prior experience in vehicle maintenance or a similar role is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during tyre replacement procedures
