Job Summary
We are looking for a caring and dedicated Support Worker to join our team and provide high-quality care to individuals in their own homes. This role is focused on enhancing the quality of life for our service users through personalised support, dignity, and companionship.
No previous experience required - full training will be provided, including all mandatory courses.
We are particularly looking for individuals with a drivers license!!

Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, incontinence care, companionship
- Support service user with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition.
- Assist with medication administration as per prescribed guidelines.
- Engage service user in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Implement behaviour management strategies for service user with specific needs, including those with Alzheimer’s or dementia.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for service user, ensuring hygiene standards are met.
- Document service user progress and report any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Attend training, meetings and reviews as required.
- Adhere to the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) codes of practice, and National Care Standards.
Skills
- As a Support Worker, you will need to adapt to changing service user's needs and preferences, ensuring that all individuals being cared for receive the support that suits them best.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with service user and their families.
- Capability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to manage challenging behaviours with empathy and professionalism.
- Can be both compassionate and reliable
