About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and caring Cook to join our care home team.
You will be responsible for providing residents with fresh, nutritious and enjoyable meals, while ensuring individual dietary needs, allergies, preferences and texture-modified diets are catered for safely.
This is an important role within our home. Mealtimes are a key part of our residents' day, and we are looking for someone who takes pride in making them enjoyable.
What You'll Be Responsible For
- Providing tasty, nutritious and well-presented meals.
- Ensuring residents' dietary requirements and preferences are met.
- Providing appropriate meals for allergies, special diets and texture-modified diets.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and well-organised kitchen.
- Ensuring high standards of food hygiene and food safety.
- Managing food stock effectively and reducing unnecessary waste.
- Working with the wider care team to support residents' changing needs.
- Creating a positive and enjoyable mealtime experience for residents.

- Is willing to listen to feedback and continually improve.
Previous cooking experience is essential, ideally within a care home, healthcare, school or similar catering environment. Knowledge of food hygiene, allergens and special dietary requirements would be an advantage.
Pay: From £13.75 per hour
