Responsibilities
- Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility, ensuring dignity and comfort at all times
- Develop and follow tailored care plans to meet individual needs, preferences, and health requirements
- Support medication management under supervision or according to training protocols, maintaining accurate records
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and team members to ensure seamless care delivery
- Drive or accompany clients on outings or appointments as needed, promoting independence and social engagement
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in line with health and safety standards
- Utilize IT systems to update care records, document observations, and track progress efficiently
Qualifications
- Valid driving license preferred for roles involving home care or transportation responsibilities
- Experience working in a care home or home care environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English to understand care plans and interact with clients confidently
- Basic IT skills for updating electronic records and documentation
- Strong communication skills to build trusting relationships with clients and team members
- Knowledge of care plans, health & safety procedures, and safeguarding practices is desirable but can be learned on the job
