Edge Sports is an independent organisation delivering engaging physical activity and wellbeing programmes across care homes in Enfield and North London. Our mission is to improve the wellbeing, confidence and quality of life of older adults through fun, inclusive and meaningful activity sessions.
We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable and caring individuals to join our growing team.
## The Role
As a Wellbeing Activity Leader, you will deliver enjoyable group activity sessions that encourage residents to stay active, socialise and improve their physical and emotional wellbeing.
No two days are the same. You will have the opportunity to make a genuine difference while working in a rewarding and supportive environment.
## Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging activity and wellbeing sessions.
* Encourage residents to participate regardless of ability.
* Create a positive, safe and inclusive environment.
* Build positive relationships with residents and care home staff.
* Set up and pack away equipment.
* Complete simple session reports where required.
* Represent Edge Sports professionally at all times.
## We're Looking For
* Positive and enthusiastic attitude.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Reliable and punctual.
* Passion for helping others.
* Comfortable leading small groups.
* Confident working independently.
Experience in sports coaching, care, education, fitness, customer service or community work is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
## Requirements
* Right to work in the UK.
* Willingness to travel across North London.
* Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
* Flexible availability, including weekdays.
