Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Leader to join our care home team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, supporting their daily needs, and supervising staff. This position offers an opportunity to lead by example, ensuring compassionate and personalised care within a supportive environment. This Post has responsibility for provision of leadership to the senior care assistants and care team whilst on duty. Manager responsibility in the absence of the Registered manager.

Responsibilities
- To foster and promote a culture of team working and enquiry to develop individual’s confidence to openly ask question to improve quality care provision and knowledge and to enable staff to continually learn from practice.
- To provide effective leadership, to ensure standards meet the requirements of current guidance and legislation and practice remains compliant and safe and adheres to the company’s policies and procedures.
- To support the staff team to understand their individual role within the organisation and promote safe, responsive, effective and caring services that meet the requirements of CQC.
- Work with the manager towards the goal of an Outstanding service within the KLOES outlined by CQC
- Monitor and audit the service and provide audit outcomes to the Registered Manager
- Complete staff observations, supervisions and appraisals.
- Manage the medication ordering, delivery and stock levels within the care home and audit the medication supply with the Registered Manager.
- Support the Care home administrator to complete staff rotas to ensure the correct skill mix is deployed across the care home.
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a care home specialising in senior care or similar environment
- Supervising or leadership experience within a healthcare setting is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with residents, families, and team members
- Knowledge of care plans, health & safety regulations, and safeguarding procedures, CQC.
- Good IT skills for record keeping and administrative tasks
- Compassionate nature with a genuine interest in providing quality senior care
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and demonstrate leadership qualities
Pay: £14.10-£14.60 per hour
